Human Kinetics publishes products and programs under three divisions: Academic, Journals, and Trade and Professional.
The Academic Division publishes resources for instructors, students, administrators, and scholars in preK-12 and higher education settings, as well as professionals who work in all aspects of physical activity and sport. Our resources include textbooks, reference books, ebooks, ancillaries (such as instructor guides, test banks, and student resources), video, continuing education courses, interactive web textbooks, and more. Our acquisitions editors are experts in their subject areas and love to work with authors and editors to create high-quality products that serve the needs of our varied audiences.
Division products cover a wide range of subject areas related to physical activity and sport. Our Journals Division publishes a portfolio of scholarly journals centred on health, sport, kinesiology, and physical activity, with quality, cutting-edge research for use by scholars, researchers, professors, teachers, practitioners, healthcare professionals, coaches, fitness enthusiasts, and many others. The articles within the journals, under the leadership of widely recognized and respected editors, undergo rigorous peer review.

Institutional subscriptions, offered with perpetual access, are available in online-only and print-only formats or bundled online+print formats. The journal portfolio covers a wide-ranging spectrum of research: sport and exercise science and psychology; kinesiology; sport management and business; physical education and coaching; athletic training, therapy, and rehabilitation; and sport sociology and history.

TRADE AND PROFESSIONAL DIVISION
The Trade and Professional Division publishes resources for athletes, coaches, health and fitness enthusiasts, personal trainers, fitness instructors, strength and conditioning specialists, and professionals across the sport and performance fields. The offerings we produce are as diverse as the audiences we serve. Ranging from print to digital, and including continuing education courses, online video, enhanced ebooks, DVDs, and mobile applications, we strive to deliver the very best information, wherever and however it’s desired.
From archery to wrestling, athletes and coaches will find sport-specific instruction, strategies and tactics, conditioning from experts, legends, and leaders across more than 50 sports. Strength, conditioning, and performance specialists will find definitive works on topics such as exercise technique, assessment, programming, nutrition, and recovery. Fitness enthusiasts and instructors will discover invaluable resources on topics such as yoga, Pilates, stretching, aquatic exercise, and more.
The Trade and Professional Division also houses HK Coach Education, the premier provider of coach education worldwide. Our courses and resources are used by local, state, and national youth sport organizations; state high school associations; individual school districts; and colleges and universities in certifying coaches. In addition, our global reach and expanding relations with international coaching and sport organizations have increased awareness of our company and product offerings worldwide like never before.
